Midweek shows are never easy to coordinate. There are work schedules, business hours, and just basic life events. Nevertheless last Thursday night found our heroes back at a surprise encore presentation at Mowie’s Cue. The band was on site to celebrate the release of a local signature beer for the UIS Prairie Stars. Brewed by 4204 Main Street Brewing Company from Belleville, IL, the lager will be on tap at Lake Pointe Grill, Mowie’s Cue, and the Rochester favorite Public House 29. In addition to celebrating the inaugural tapping of the UIS Prairie Star Lager, the band also wowed their fans with an impromptu performance by a special guest only known to them as “Filipino Patrick.” The young man joined the band for two of their boy band numbers and was granted the prestigious honor of being awarded the Fun DMC Golden Ticket, granting him an open invitation to sing with the band on any given night.

On Saturday night the band performed at one of their favorite downtown establishments, The Alamo. it has been a while since the band has had to reach back into their twenties and perform a 2 a.m. show. However the ever-growing downtown crowd seemed to really enjoy the band and we are looking forward to returning.

On Sunday following a miracle of coordinated schedules the entire band showed up at the AMC 12 IMAX for a viewing of the newly-released Avengers Infinity War. I think what followed if memory serves correct was a detailed discussion on Kant’s view of ethics.
