I’m not going to lie, I started writing this Mashup Monday post talking about Disturbed and David Draiman and how he can actually sing and blah blah blah, and then I realized something. I have already talked about that on a previous blog! And I also used Eminem in a separate blog as well! And that kind of left me in a pickle. Do I use the same bands in a new mashup post, or do I try and find some new bands to show off… and I am going with a different combination of two previous bands. This weeks mashup puts together two top artists in two different genres (imagine that) and does it in a way that I feel won’t upset too many hardcore fans of either artist. Kill_mr_DJ Mashups brings us a combination of Love The Way You Lie by Eminem and The Sound of Silence by Disturbed. It makes it a little easier since Love The Way You Lie has a bit of a piano backbone that The Sound of Silence is built around, but being able to adjust the pitch of the vocals to have it mashup nicely is a gift that few possess. There can be a lot issues, the vast majority I know nothing about. The only way I know how to adjust the pitch is speeding up or slowing down a track (which obviously can lead to issues when mashing up songs). This mashup is extremely well done and I feel definitely deserves to be given a chance… you know… outside of the 3 million views it already has on YouTube. Enjoy!
