Jack Reynolds, The Meyer Wedding, and The Illinois Association of County Officials

Jack Reynolds, The Meyer Wedding, and The Illinois Association of County OfficialsIt has been a few weeks since I have written or posted a blog. The reason for that is quite simple actually. On March 21st my son Jack Kennedy Reynolds was born. He weighed 6 lb 11 oz and was 19 inches long. Apparently people really want to know those stats whenever you have a kid so I’ve become accustomed to rattling those off.

Anyway, Saturday night found us back on the wedding circuit for the wedding of David and Nicole Meyer at the Artisan Building at The Illinois State Fairgrounds. I have been working on planning their event with them for months over email as well as meeting up at local coffee shops over the last year and it was a pleasure to finally see it all come together. In addition to the couple being a joy to work with, we were also joined again by Steve and Tiffany Warmowski of Warmowski Photography, two of our favorite wedding photographers to work with. Their guests were energetic from the first beat of music from the band and remained so til the end of the night.

You wouldn’t think you would find yourself unloading a band trailer in an airplane hangar on a Tuesday night to perform for the Governor of Illinois and The Illinois Association of County Officials but that’s exactly where we found ourselves. On Tuesday night, Fun DMC entertained the guests at LRS hangar. Following the show, the band was treated to a private tour of the collection of luxury and antique cars and motorcycles that are stored at the hangar. Everything from a 1987 Ferarri, a ’57 Chevy Bel-Aire, Model Ts, Corvettes, and a Captain America Chopper as seen in the 1969 film, Easy Rider.

The band has a couple of weekends off and we will reassemble on April 26 at Mowie’s Cue for a special beer brand kick off and The Alamo on April 28th. If we recover from seeing Avengers: Infinity War, we will have many more shows to follow this summer.
