Stayin Hot and Don’t Stop The Sandman

Welcome to the first entry of Mashup Monday! This new series is going to highlight some mashups that we’ve either done in the past, used as inspiration for something new, or are just fun arrangements we wanted to share.
If you take a look at our song list, you’ll notice that one of the big things that separates us from almost every band in the country is that we focus heavily on performing live mashups. More often than not, the arrangements are created by a member of the band, but we spend a lot of time scouring the internet for creative arrangements of songs and looking for inspiration. The two mashups that set us down this crazy path were Lobsterdust’s “Stayin Hot” and Rock Sugar’s “Don’t Stop The Sandman”, both of which have been staples in our set since our very first show. As soon as we heard them, we knew that this was the path we wanted to go down and haven’t looked back since.
