I’m going start this Mashup Monday post with a statement I do not take lightly, this has no right to be this good. And yet I don’t think I have been as happy with any mashup than I have with this one. While writing this post I have been listening to this mashup for at least 10 minutes and I can’t stop laughing or smiling. Thank you lobstermashups, thank you. I am sure pretty much anyone that reads this knows the song Get Lucky by Daft Punk and that it’s probably impossible to not dance to it. Lobstermashups mashes it up with System of a Down’s anti-war anthem B.Y.O.B. which is probably not a song most people would get up and dance to. But, as lobstermashups has now proven, anything that is successfully mashed with Get Lucky will automatically become a dance hit. The mashup itself isn’t anything too complicated past adjusting keys in the vocals of B.Y.O.B because it seems to mostly be throwing the chorus of B.Y.O.B on top and in between parts of Get Lucky. And it works, and it’s not even the best part. While it works incredibly well together, nothing is going to top hearing Serj Tankian’s La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la mashed with this. Nothing. I don’t have much more to say about this song except that you should just download it now and enjoy the rest of your day.
