Even playing in a mashup band, I still get skeptical when it comes to mashups with my favorite bands. Avenged Sevenfold first came into my life when I heard Bat Country over the radio and I haven’t looked back. From City of Evil to the White Album and past their drummer’s death (RIP The Rev) to Nightmare and currently The Stage I have and always will be a huge fan. So, when I see that oneboredjeu made a mashup of their song Afterlife with Miley Cyrus’ Wrecking Ball, I wasn’t too enthusiastic about it. I don’t think it’s a secret that I am not a huge fan of Miley Cyrus, but out of sheer curiosity I had to have a listen.

This song is a shocker. After one listen I am already a fan of it, the scale of the chorus alone sold me. It starts off, admittedly, a little slow with the low-key instrumentals of Wrecking Ball with M. Shadows vocals but trust me when I say wait until the chorus. The dynamics of this song help show that oneboredjeu is one of the leading voices in mashups online.
